The other ferret with insulinoma, Augustus, has been on pred for about 2
weeks so far and has not shown any signs of excessive weight gain. OTOH, he
was a bit underweight, so that might have something to do with it.

My father-in-law is an endocrinologist, according to him weight gain is a
side effect in many, but not all, cases.
