What people teach their kids is their prerogative. Pedophilia exists as
an alternative lifestyle, I certainly won't be teaching my kids that it
exists, but by your logic, she will figure it out someday, so why don't
I tell her now, when she may not understand it. It is a parent's
decision when they want to tell their children about certain things,
each parent is different.
There are certain things I don't want my child exposed to until a
certain age, period.

Why not? Might as well not bother teaching her that the earth isn't
flat
and that it isn't the center of the universe. You don't think she's not
going to figure it out someday? What exactly would you be protecting
her
from?

Pretending it isn't so, doesn't make it not so.
