Actually I do have to use the COM object since CFContent doesn't exactly
handle the data in the manner that I need.

Basically I'm using the HTML2EXCEL custom tag. It connects to the COM
object, opens the HTML file specified, performs a global search and
replace, changing a non-printing character to a single quote (') which
forces certian cells to be text fields. This is the reason I have to
use Excel. The client uses numeric part numbers in some cases with
leading zeroes... 000001 is the part number, but without the apostrophe,
which *has* to be entered in Excel itself, it changes it to 1... there
was a thread on that issue some time back.

Anyways, when I try to connect to/create the object I am getting the
error message:

Error trying to create object specified in the tag.

COM error 0x80070005. Access is denied.

The reason for the "news article" format... it gets more attention ;)
