just curious, do wireless modems connect to the same towers as that of cell
phones or do they communicate with satellite? I ask this because there is a
wireless internet provider here but you can only get access if you are within a
mile of his tower and have a clear line of sight for the dish that you get. I'm
trying to find something wireless that doesn't need a clear line of sight to get
internet access.

Voicestream has a plan that is not minute based but Megabyte based.

I think you can get 50 MB for like $50 a month

I don't have because that is still to expensive for me.
