Reinforced cockpit doors = time to get gun out and aim.

Besides I think they should give them .22 bird shot in the hand guns,
that way it won't puncture the cockpit,  and cabins have decompressed
before without the plane crashing.  Ever see the photo of the plane that
landed in Hawaii, I think it was.  A huge chunk of the front section of
the roof of the plane was gone, I think it was from a bomb.

All I have to say on this is that someone hasn't thought this through...

What happens if a loony comes into the cockpit and threatens the pilots,
the pilot pulls out the gun, the loony continues to advance... BANG...
The bullet misses the loony and punctures the cockpit, the plane
decompresses causing the plane to crash...

They kill a whole plane full of people rather than being taken to
another country

INSANE!
