Reinforced cockpit doors = time to get gun out and aim. Besides I think they should give them .22 bird shot in the hand guns, that way it won't puncture the cockpit, and cabins have decompressed before without the plane crashing. Ever see the photo of the plane that landed in Hawaii, I think it was.
