Obviously not, but here it does take a bit longer to become a veteran. (Maybe because they get more holidays so the actual field-time is the same :) ) I mean three years? What does that mean for your police force as a whole? You are constantly training new people, which I would imagine requires quite some commitment of resources, and apparently they leave shortly after they have some experience. That has to put a huge strain on the organisation. I find it hard to believe that such a thing can be good for moral of the police force or any organization, which reinforces the effect of people leaving. Imagine that you constantly have to hire new developers, and just when they get the hang of it they leave. Would that be good for your business?
