Have you ever had any positive responses contacting ISPs for this reason?

I'm writing some code when I hear a bunch of beeps. I check the logs and there's a bunch of entries from some script kiddie trying to hack me. Of course, he can't get in but I'm not really happy about it. I sent all the log info to his domain and hopefully they'll do something to cut him off.
