I think the idea of creating any building impervious to an attack similar to
what happened on 9/11 is unrealistic. How in the world would you prevent an
object as large as a 7-fricking-47 moving at speeds in excess of 500mph from
destroying a building? Oh, and the 747 probably has thousands of gallons of
jet-fuel to add to the problem.

And I don't think I'd classify the poor souls who were trapped in the upper
levels during the fires as "poor bastards". Just my two cents. Think about
it.

Yea its sad, ;) after Pearl harbor did we leave The base ruined did we leave
those battleships on the bottom of the ocean nope.

We put our sadness behind us lifted those babies out of the ocean, rebuild
the damage. But I suppose its right I mean it is a risk to work in a
building like that, but I think this time they will build anything with the
ability to withstand a 747 hitting it. Better safety, water supply system
at several points in the building so you cant severe water supply by
severing the water lines in the building.
But some people will have the stigma of it all still, and won't work in the
building. I cant say I blame them I don't know if I could do it.
They should figure some way so that there is an area that is impervious to
something like a 747 hitting it so you will be able to get the people out
through the stairwells. I don't know keep parachutes in the upper levels so
if the poor bastards have to jump they can make it. Who knows if they had
parachutes on the 50+ floors maybe we would have alot more living people. I
don't know.
I'm sure whatever they build will become wonderful in time. I remember alot
of people hating the WTC because they were so damn gawdy and they screwed up
the roads and were oversized and just like having a 6 carrot diamond
engagement ring, its nice but a little too gawdy.

We'll see
