But I've been using Photoshop since version 3.0 ... First for print media, adjusting photos, scans, digital art, all for print, magazines, newspapers, photos, you name it. Then I switched to screen. And in all my years with PhotoShop, I never once messed with the Adobe Gamma settings. Most people told me that unless you have a VERY expensive monitor calibrator, used in most high-quality design and print studios, the Adobe Gamma settings don't help much. ... So I just left them alone. Never affected my work ... Except for some images that looked a lot lighter on the screen than when printed. Or vise versa. I just got used to what I need it to look like on screen to print correctly. (http://www.adobe.com/support/techguides/color/gamma/gamma.html) I don't even know how to reset them, once changed ...
