WEll they are always cautious of new things until they bond with them. The 2 we had had been abused so it would have taken possibly years to bond with them so you could touch them. The others we have we let them run around on us and we can pet them and play with them. And they enjoy company they are social animals so you have to spend time iwth them. But you can do that by wearing the pouch with them around your neck under your shirt. They bond to your scent that way and they are adorable. They will sit in your hair for a long time if you let them.
They are great pets, but you have to check where you live they are "exotic" so some places have rules about them like they are Illegal in CA to have. But florida you can have them and dont need a license unless you breed them like we do.
