A rabbit to chase the cat around? I knew a house cat once that managed to
run down and kill a few wild rabbits. eeek.

Then again, my cocker grew up under the shadow of our tom. The dog, at
first tried to mess with the cat in a playfull way, but a couple of quick
smacks to the nise taught him better. Even after the dog grew to be 1/2
again as big as the cat, the dog would sit and patheticly whine at the cat
until the cat decided to move out of the path to the dog's food dish in his
own sweet time. The cat tolerated him and accepted him as part of the
householed and wan't aggressive, but they both knew who was in charge .. it
was the funniest thing.

I guess a pet rabbit and your kitty could develope a respectfull
relationship as well, especially if your cat is mild manored and rather
tolerant :)
