I had to put my old lab down. We got her when I was probably 9 and we had to put her to sleep when I was a senior I skipped school that day to go and say good bye to her before they did it.
She couldn't walk well and she had cancer in her chest and my dad didn't have the money to pay for the surgeries which were pretty pointless because it had spread so much. Her name was lady and she was the pet I base all my other thoughts off. My current dog Sara is brown and her fur isn't as soft as the black labs but Sara is gonna work out. Life is just a series of dogs :) When you loose one you never want another animal but somehow sometime you just wind up with another one and for another 10 years you have your companion. They never replace the ones you've lost but they add new parts to your life. Sorry for your loss I know how it feels.
