: Damn, I
: feel old now. My kids don't even know what records are :-)
Aren't they those things that come back from a query?
j/k
I've always been the young guy (started school young, and it went downhill
from there) so I has to get me licks in when I can. :-) But I always try
to learn from my elders (insert evil grin here).
My first computer was a Zenith 8086 w/ 512K RAM and a 20-meg Winchester HD.
Black and amber screen. Finally gave it up when it started erroring:
"Drive C: door may be open."
Before that, I'd messed around with IIe's and C64s at the college where my
father taught. I learned Basic from reading the programs included in 3-2-1
Contact magazine (science & tech for kids) when I was 8. Could cruise
around in DOS better than most adults I knew by the time I was 7. IIRC, my
first game was the hallowed Oregon Trail for C64.
*sigh* Good times, good times....
