I got the "Ionic Breeze" air cleaner from Sharper Image. No moving parts, supposedly silent. But as it cycles every few seconds, it makes every AM radio in the house buzz (if they are on) - even a battery-powered radio at the other end of the house. So it's RF interference, rather than a/c power line pollution.
