Ahem, you forgot to mention how many muffin rations you'd need bring to
make a 3,960 mile journey.
Sheesh....

Well, if you could withstand the intense heat, then it wouldn't really
matter as you'd theoretically be weightless

Since a planet's gravity is reliant on the mass below your feet, the
closer you got to the core, the "lighter" you'd become

Think about it this way, with the size of the Moon, gravity is about a
6th of Earth's, and on Jupiter, it a LOT higher than it is here... So by
the time you've gotten to the centre of the Earth, then you'll be moving
fairly freely

The biggest problem is that as soon as you break through the crust,
you'll be burnt alive by the molten magma, and you've got several
thousand miles of the stuff to wade through before you got close to the
core

If you think that the mean radius of the Earth is 3,960 miles, you've
only got a about 30km of crust

So, just to get your asbestos suit, here's what you'll need to protech
yourself against... Outer Mantle (just below the Crust) is about 1,000
degrees C Inner Mantle (close to the Core) is about 3,700 degrees C The
Core (outside the Inner Core) is about 4,300 degrees C The Innter Core
is pure solid Iron, at that point

If you can withstand over 4,000 degrees of temperature, then you'll be
fine...

Also, what you've got to consider is the density of the mass you'll be
travelling through - the Inner Mantle makes up nearly 50% of the Earth's
mass, so you'll have to dig through some pretty dense materials before
you even get to the core itself

There ya go... Get your sunblock factor 27,000,000 on and get digging
