I can't speak for most of the world, but most people here do agree with the article. But except for some left wing radicals, hooligans and French farmers that occasionally attack some McDonalds (the token of US values) out of shear frustration with their marginalized position in society, most people feel that the best thing would not be if the US withdrew, but if the US started to take the same stand it takes against Iraq to other countries. The position the US takes on Iraq is not necessarily wrong, but selectively applying it for short term benefits at the expense of long term goals is wrong.
