Good plan Stephenie! I have a similar plan in mind. :) The large basement with lots of music going on will be kewl! My son has long fingers too. I am going to start teaching him to play. No doubt he'll get better than me before too long!

There is a local music store that is quite large called Mom's Music (they have a show on pbs too that features local bands) that has a thing called rock school...where you learn to play with other newbies and get to perform on their stage as a band...they also have a class for learning how to mix/produce...i am making a budget so I can put away some money to try both of those this winter.... LOL, have yet to learn a song all the way through, mainly just bits and pieces... But I really enjoy it!
