"heat of the moment" never justifies a crime, you don't get leniency for
killing someone coz you got "soooo" mad.

I agree with you totally.  Murder us murder.  But why do you think there
are degrees for murder?  1st, 2nd, 3rd.  I would call this
manslaughter-type abuse.  But not abuse.  It was in the heat of the
moment thingy.  It wasn't sinister, that she planned on hurting the
child.

And there you admit you get pissed at your kids too.  Some people just
can't control it and they resort to beating something.  And they have to
learn to control it more.

You  wouldn't  call  it  abuse?  WTF would you call it?? I honestly
doubt that was the first time it happened, and even if it was, who gives
a shit. she beat her kid, she did not just slap her. That is abuse.
Temper my ass. I've got a temper. I fly off at the drop of a hat, and
yes I get pissed at my kids  too,  but I'll be damned if I'm going to
beat the shit out of them. We are here to PROTECT our children, not hurt
them!!
