It's common for a single coctail to go for $12 in some of the clubs in
chicago. New York and San Fransisco I would imagine is more. I've resorted
to a "vote with my dollar" stance lately and have boycotted several
products/services/entertainment that I would have normally paid for a few
years ago. This includes movie theaters, which I think have absolutely
ridiculous concession pricing - how do you justify a 12oz bottled water
costing $3.50? And then they bitch about not making a profit on concessions.
