You're better than me! I lived in WV most of my life and never oce went skiiing or whitewater rafting. I guess I'm a chicken when it comes to that stuff. I did go canoeing once here in Ohio and it was the Canoe trip from hell. Number 1 my trainers were there, so I had to put forth effort, number two, aboout 3/4 of the way through, a monsoon came in and dumped torrential downpours on us. Needless to say, I was a bit disheveled.

It's a two-sided mountain, one side in California facing north looking at Lake Tahoe, the other side in Nevada facing east towards the Carson Valley and the Wasatch Range in the distance. The picture with me in it was taken on the Orion run on the NV side. On the trail map, it's about where the blue square below the word "Orion" is. The lift tower with the yellow padding behind me to the right is part of the Dipper Express chair on the map. Elevation is about 9,300', with the valley at about 4,000'.
