Luckily and strangely enough, there are some "Cambodian" names that are phonetically (kinda) like "English names".
Paula (except the accent is on the second syllable) Aaron or Erin (a girl's name only, and accent is on the second syllable) Sophy (again, accent on the second syllable, and the the PH is like a "P", not "F") So I think of naming my daughter Erin. :) That way me and my fiancee to be can be in agreement heh. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Dinowitz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 10:24 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: A good thing Yep. That's basically how its spelled in English but the name itself is Hebrew. I was raised in a generation where a person had their Hebrew name and an English name. I've never liked the practice as a persons name is their name and no one should be in fear of using it. All my children have a Hebrew name and that's all they're called by. Anyone who calls Shemaryahu Sam or Seth will hear it from me and you all know that I'm a mean, vicious, and vindictive SOB when it comes to protecting my family. :) > man what kinda name is that? is it Hebrew? > > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Dinowitz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 9:55 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: A good thing > > > Soft e on the She, but basically correct. > > > > She-mar-ya-hoo?? hehe > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Michael Dinowitz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 9:24 AM > > To: CF-Community > > Subject: Re: A good thing > > > > > > Your talking to someone who has a son names Shemaryahu.
