Freehold's a beautiful area! I lived on a farm down there (in Howell!), while working at one of the local standardbred farms (Gateway) training racehorses. I was 19/20 at the time. Loving it. Did it for a couple of years from June - September.
My main base was the Meadowlands Racetrack, but the horses always needed a break with nice paddocks to be turned into and whatnot. So I always volunteered for farm duty. I needed the break too! ;) Now Newark ... I have no excuse for it. ;) Though they are trying to rebuild a lot of it.
