Sorry to hear that you didn't like the movie...I thought it was fantastic, and as an adaptation of the original book it was better than either Lambs or Hannibal. IMHO I also thought Red Dragon the movie was a lot better than Lambs and tons better than Hanniblah... BTW why did there need to be more Hannibal? His presence was increased, or at least fleshed out a bit in comparison to the novel.
