Mike H., Michael R., Ben D., Judith, Deanna, Jerry & all-

Thanks for the kind words and hopeful thoughts, much
appreciated.

Sorry to say, he's very much like my late father. And my
dad and I really irritated each other. When son was 5
and my father's father met him for the first time,
Grandpa broke down in tears saying "he's the spitting
image of my son". (My grandpa outlived my dad by 32
years - dad passed away in 1968 at age 54, grandpa in
1990 at age 100 + 1.5 months.)

Both my dad and my son got/get this particular clench to
their jaw, what I call the "stubborn" look. Both
held/hold grudges at an A+ level. Both were/are bad at
apologizing or admitting they are wrong.

Either he will "grow out of it" with maturity, or he
won't. Either he will someday want to hear my side of
things, or he won't. I know I'm not perfect, have made
mistakes, have done things I regret. I can live with
this. He apparently hasn't reached that state of grace
yet...

Either way, I have a life I'm trying to make the best of
that I can, a loving sexy wife of almost 28 years, and a
daughter (age 19) whom I'm actually enjoying a lot -
she's a creative, smart, often funny young adult.
(Sometimes she tells me her brother is a jerk!) Even
have a job I like with a boss I respect and trust.

Yes, things could be better - but they could be a lot
worse, and on balance I'm grateful for my lot...

Have a great day, everybody!
