A number of people don't share that opinion. There were a lot of people who voted for one Candidate in the last election just because they didn't like the other.
The fact is a majority means more than half of the total. IMHO to win an election required a majority of those who vote. To say that one person wins just because that person got more votes than any other single candidate is to deny the people their rights. > -----Original Message----- > From: BethF [mailto:dawg@;alaska.com] > Sent: Monday, October 21, 2002 6:05 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: CRUISE OF A LIFETIME > > > But that means that the Majority of the people voted against that > > person. > > I don't think a vote for a candidate is "against" anyone. > > > If 41 Percent were for one, 39 Percent were for another and 20 Percent > > were for a third. > > > > It means that 59 Percent voted against one person, the majority of the > > people do not want that person in office. > > > > How do you deal with that? > > > The person with the most votes wins? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists&body=lists/cf_community Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox.
