Four years ago at Christmas I had mine removed too after they finally agreed that I needed it (doctor's "criteria" were having tonsillitis 5 times in one year). During the last "episode" I had a temp of 104 and the craziest John Nash-esque delusions ! From the tossing and turning in bed I thought I came up with a mechanical method of solving algebraic expressions by how I twisted and knotted the bed sheets, completely nuts !!!! I'd sat a collge math exam the previous week.
Then when I got them out I had to go back into hospital because my throat hemorrhaged.
