If a house we bought, came with a dishwasher, I probably wouldn't
complain. But to actually go out and buy one ... I don't think so.
A dishwasher is being too lazy to do the dishes after meals and clean up
after yourself.

For those of you with dishwashers, how many times do the dishes always
make it back to the cabinet, immediately after the load is done ... Or
do you find yourself leaving clean dishes in there for a day or two,
even setting the table from a dishwasher?

Now it's just turned into a dish cabinet that also happens to wash the
dishes.

They are cool, and nice, and shiny, and the one thing I do like about
dishwashers is the sterilization factor. Because it washes the dishes on
such high heat ... But other than that for households of 2-3 people, I
think it's overkill.

It's a nice thing to stand at the sink with your hubby/wifelet/partner
and spend some quality time together washing and drying the dishes and
catching up on each other's day. Can also teach kids some
responsibility. Life is not as easy as a dishwasher.

Call me old fashioned. And maybe deranged.

Cheers,
