Actually, we're not "stuck" with her as the kennel said they would take
her back if she wasn't cat friendly - since she's a rescue, they will
happily take her back and re-house her in a non-cat household

A percentage of Greyhouds will NEVER be cat friendly, so if we try to
stick with her, and even if we let Snoopy's claws grow to defend himself
(and ruin our furnature), then Maddy may continue to chase even if she's
been swatted - it's their chase instinct...

We have made a commitment to get a cat friendly dog, not to get a dog
that will cause mayhem in the house by chasing the cat every chance she
gets - we will eventually get several more cats and dogs, and if she
doesn't fit with one cat, then what will she be like when we have more?
