I do recognize that the product has validity. But the environmental argument? Compared to walking, Riding a bike, skateboard, or any non-powered transport is about the same.
And with the segway you still have to charge the battery, which means you are using electrical power than may come from unclean sources. ;) But for people who spend all day on their feet, going around large buildings like the Pentagon, or court runners. Things where there is no other way to travel then by foot or other "personal transport device", then yes, they could be very useful.
