I don't know if that was our Coney Island - I have no idea what happened
with all that mess. What I do know is that there were numerous acts of
vandalism while we were there - In Arima, we had a Himalaya ride go up
in flames along with a huge generator, and in Trincity there was an
office trailer that got burnt up.

Actually, I'm not from Trinidad, and I just joined the list. My father
owned carnival rides when I was young and we lived with him while he
took it through the Caribbean. There was a carnival called Coney Island
Caribbean that stayed awhile in Arima, then went to Tunapuna,
Port-of-Spain, and then to Trincity mall. I think it got left at
Trincity. It might even still be sitting there for all I know. This
all happened back in 1985.

I had a number of friends from Trinidad, but I haven't seen most of them
for years. Really pretty good people. Have you ever heard of HA Clarke?
He was my father's business partner, along with Jimmy Dean. But again,
that was all years ago.
