This reminds me of the case that I heard about somewhere in Nebraska. I don't know anything about it first hand, but I know my sister-in-law was quite upset about it.
My understanding was that a teacher had sex w/ two of his students. Both were over 18 ( I guess they were seniors ). In the court trial, both students came up and said that they consented to the sex. I believe there was a lot of lobbying and it went back to trial. It seems like a waste of time to prosecute someone for having consensual sex with a consenting adult. Should the teacher had been fired for having sex w/ students? Probably! Should they waste my tax money bringing this to court? No!
