Well, to allow this to work next year, all you need to do is change the
numbers in step 5 to 1753 and 1752 Respectively.

SPOILER

If anybody really cares.

It's not that surprising since the mathematical gymnastics simply have you
multiplying your chosen number by 100 (multiply by 2 in step 2, then
multiply by 50 in step 4) This is added to 250 (the constant 5 in step 3
multiplied by 50 in step 4 equals 250) which is then added to 1752. 1752
plus 250 = 2002 - the current year (1751 plus 250 = 2001 if you haven't had
your birthday - so you are getting your age for last year), plus your number
times 100. Now subtract your birth year and you get your age plus your
number times 100. Thus a three digit number, the first digit being your
number (in the hundreds column) and the last two being your age, as long as
you are not over 99 years old and didn't pick a number larger then 9.

Actually, picking a number over 9 isn't so bad, you just get a 4 digit
number, but it is still the number you picked followed by your age...1135
for example if you picked 11 times to have dinner and you are 35 years old.
But being over 99 really mess the game up, you will get 405 if you picked 3
times a week to have dinner, but are 105 years old (born in 1897).

Sorry, blame those old fashioned computer courses that actually involved
mathematics and logic.

Subject: Dinner Mathematics

Here is a little stress reliever....

Dinner MATHEMATICS: This is pretty neat how it works out.

       DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN
FIRST It takes less than a minute.......

Work this out as you read.

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!

This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

       1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you
would
like to have dinner out. (try for more than once but less
than
 10)

       2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)

       3. Add 5.

       4. Multiply it by 50 - I'll wait while you get the
       calculator................

       5. If you have already had your birthday this year add
1752....

       If you haven't, add 1751..........

       6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number ....

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how
many
       times
you want to have eat out each week).

The next two numbers are .........

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2002) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT
AROUND WHILE IT LASTS. IMPRESSIVE, ISN'T IT?
