Yeah, and one year of Warcraft costs nothing except for the purchase price
of the game.

Just because one company chooses to do something one way does not mean
everyone else should go the same route. And why should we hand money over to
these people for the right to use the servers they are forcing us to? It's
all just another way to get your money, and those subscriptions are going to
cost (and count for) a lot more over time.

I think its sad so many people pay so much money to play Everquest.

$100/year isn't bad if it allows access to all the online games on the
network. One year of Everquest alone costs more than that...
