Paul; Sounds like a freelancing gig, not a full-time job.
If you are comfortable taking that route and they can pay you, why not? I am assuming you need to eat, pay rent, etc. I would check up on the company a little bit and make sure they are legit. Be careful not to get yourself into a situation where you are working without getting paid.
