Unfortunately, I just don't believe that things will get better for the
world if we just go away. As I've mentioned on earlier posts of this ilk,
more wars have been caused because someone viewed peace as a weakness. Do I
believe that Bush is doing everything in his power to justify a war. Yes.
Do I honestly believe that he wants war,no. I do believe that he thinks
this is the best way to avoid war or to minimize it's impact if it is
unavoidable. I agree with him.

BS.
:)

The US just wants to go to war with Iraq.
They're looking for all sorts of excuses.
Whether the weapons inspectors find anything or not,
the US will claim that IT'S intelligence says that there are weapons.
(Although the US can't SHARE this intelligence with the weapons
inspectors
For them to verify...)

To me, the whole thing is so very contrived it's sickening.

And US Interests have worked the Media Propaganda machine up nicely,
Running several shows about the 'life of Saddam', but not going into
much
Detail about how/why the US helped him against Iran.

It's been so many years since the Gulf War....the President only NOW
knows that
there are missing pilots? What about the many years in between...oh
wait!
It's only now become Politically expedient to mention it.Maybe that's
why they left them
There in the first place.

"You know son...those lost boys could become really useful next time we
want to go to war...."

All a pile of BS.

President Bush said in a speech in September to the United
Nations that Iraq had failed to account for missing prisoners, including
a pilot.
Mr. Bush signed legislation into law in October aimed at
helping to resolve Capt. Speicher's case.
The Persian Gulf War POW/MIA Accountability Act amended
earlier law on missing military personnel.
The new legislation gives the attorney general the power to
grant refugee status to any Iraqi or Middle East national who
"personally delivers into the custody of the United States government a
living American Persian Gulf War POW/MIA."
