My best friend served in the Navy around the time of the gulf war. He thought he was going to get to see another part of the world. It turns out that he was assigned to the Enterprise .. while it was in drydock .. in Norfolk, VA. Considering he grew up in VA and had family in that area, and had been to Norfolk many times, he was a little pissed. :)
