You'll love it up there. I have friends and family in the area. We went 
skiing there over Christmas about 4 years ago. You'll love it. If you get 
the opportunity, stop in the town of Squamish, BC along the way, and take a 
walk along the river. On the other side you'll see hundreds of eagles - 
they winter over along the river. I had never been quite so close to that 
many raptors.

The skiing was a blast in Whistler. There were a couple of pubs that you 
could almost ski into, they were so close to the slopes.
