Jacob-

LOLOL.
Figured you would post this, bud :-)

Re: the nude photo contest winner, the article said "His father, Hector, took an
interest in his son's project". Yeah, I'll just _bet_ Hector took an interest ;-)

"His father, a salsa dance instructor in Colorado Springs, even offered to help find a
model and scout locations. " Sure, and would be glad to be the phototographer's
assistant at the shoot, too <g>.

Back in summer 1974, when I was attending U.C. Berkeley and living in an apartment off
campus, there was an outrageous guy named Billy (forget his last name) in the
building. Billy had a serious medical condition which prevented him from walking - he
could stand and move short distances with help, like getting from bed to wheelchair
etc. He had an assistant mornings and evenings to help him.

Billy was a pre-law student, a big sports fan, and quite a talented photographer. He
took a lot of pictures of the football and baseball teams, etc. This led into fashion
and nude photography. He somehow ended up being a freelance "scout" for Playboy -
sending them pictures of women to be considered as Playmates. A couple of his
"candidates" ended up as centerfolds over a couple of years. Word of this got around,
and women flocked to this guy like you wouldn't believe. His bedroom was virtually
wallpapered with Playboy-quality photos of dozens of women. He slyly admitted that
while he couldn't walk, he still could <n/m, let's not...> and his photography
provided him with an unbelievable quantity and variety of beautiful women, 'cause he
might be their ticket to fame and fortune. Oy.

He had a classic Jaguar touring sedan, with right-hand drive, the wood dash, genuine
leather, etc. He would take a couple of us neighbor guys, one of us driving in a
leather English cap, and "cruise the Main" in Walnut Creek (back when cruising was
still legal). It was hilarious, seeing all the people in other cars tripping out at
our vehicle, and all the gals who recognized Billy waving and greetig him. <sigh>

Quite a price to pay, though...
