I missed this the first time thru, so I'm a couple of >'s behind. Personally, I'd be perfectly happy if someday I /do/ say "OMG, I'm only 99 years old...." and end up home feeling better. To go back to the serious side, in all of this I was less worried about you than about your son. In all the joking about my father being too stubborn to die, I was trying really hard not to think about what it would have been like losing him before we made up.
