With ediets we have our main servers in VA with a disaster recovery site in
Miami (dont ask me i figured mia is more liking to get a hurricane then VA,
but our MIA stuff is in the bellsouth bunker). We have a nimly between VA &
MIA so we can copy everything over at 100mbs between va & mia to keep db and
everything current and everynight backup the dbs and move them down to MIA
(close to 100gb).

We have dns and all servers we need in MIA as a backup.

Subject: Disaster Recovery

Hey folks,
I am looking over some our disaster recovery information. I know some of
the basics about how we do backups where they are stored, where the off site
storage is and so on, I am wondering if any of you have a catastrophic (as
in DC falls in the ocean) disaster recovery plan? I have been reading a lot
about it the last two days, and it's really an interesting topic.

Also do any of you have experience with caching solutions like Akami?
We are looking at them as a business continuity option. Any way I though
this might be an interesting subject and look forward to hearing your ideas
and views.
