Yeah.  Entirely different show.  It also had a different cast, for the most
part .. no Apollo, no Starbuck, no Cassiopeia, etc.  "Galactica 1980" takes
place after they find earth.  They hide from the population because the
inhabitants aren't as advanced.  The whole plot is something about helping
the planet prepare to defend itself from the Cylons, but they do it all
behind the scenes.  There are some totally silly parts, like the kids being
able to jump super high because they were born in space and the gravity on
the ships was stronger than that of the Earth .. or something.

It tried to be to Battlestar Galactica what "The Next Generation" was to
Star Trek, but it, um, didn't do quite as well ... *cough*.
