He was influenced by all the old greats Waters, Collins, BB... A lot of my music has heavy Zeppelin, Rush and Maiden sounds to it. I think that is just natural. Even Rush was Led Zeppelin and Who influenced. You could lose count of how many bands are LDZP influenced.
Have you ever worked on a piece for hours or day's and then you play it for the band and they say "Oh that sounds like...". That can really piss you off.
