Larry, overall it looks good. There are some things I would fix though. The fonts are inconsistent, particularly in the titles. Some are bold and some aren't, some are all-caps while others are mixed-case. Stylesheets man! Also I'm seeing an inconsistency in positioning. Going from page to page, the top margin of where the author's name is bounces around vertically. And in general the top and side margins everywhere are a bit tight. For a design that is this simple and minimal, giving a bit a air around the margins will help.
Regarding the colors, I like them but I wonder about the figure-ground relationship of having the page backround color be the same as the book color. I presume that the image on the front page IS the book cover. By having the colors the same, you flatten out the design and it looks a bit lifeless IMO. I think providing some contrast would make the book covers pop a bit more. I also notice that the book on the front page is not the same proportions as the book on the AboutTheBook.htm page.
