One of my little hobbies is vintage radio. Right now I'm listening to WWII radio coverage. The reporters regularly give their opinion on what is happening and what they see. The reports usually aren't based on government propoganda. It's based on what they see looking out the window and what they hear talking to the people. Many of the reporters made their broadcasts on the short wave transmitters that were run by the Axis including even in Berlin. These were reporters like Edward R. Murrow.
I don't see how what Arnett did is any different.
