That's purely personal I think. If it makes you happy then its worth it - in your case the opposite may be true. It's no good if everytime you see the case you think "freaking money pit". ;^) I think that everybody has some things that they pamper themselves with and others that simply don't matter. You know: an unfinished pine bookshelf does the same job as polished cherry, but to some there's a world of difference. I'm not sure how much ROI you could see from JUST buying an Alienware case but if it's worth it to you then... (Personally it's not worth it to me... I love the case but since my cash is finite I'd rather have double the drive space than the case.)
