Actually that is incorrect. More recent studies has shown that the small amounts of chloroflourocarbons have absolutely nothing to do with the ozone layer or the global warming myth. Normal Volcanic activity around the planet does all that by itself.
The original auto refrigerant R-28 succumbed to the propagandists and was replaced by a blend, called R-134-A which is much less efficient. (has a higher boiling pont.) The original formula is still manufactured and used all over the planet, except in the United States. Go figure. R-22 is what is still used in Home central air conditioning systems, and there are no plans to change anything.
