Jim, I agree. We need a new term. The word "racist" reflects the attitude, but it's not an accurate word for quite a few reasons.
I sometimes think the word "bigot" is pretty good, but that carries a sub-quality of hypocritical. Like somehow they are saying that something is fine while slamming it, and that's obviously not the case. How about blegurgist? You won't find it in a dictionary. I just made it up. But it's a nice, cromulent word. -Kevin > -----Original Message----- > From: Jim Davis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2003 1:54 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: Cahtolic's new dictionary... > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Jacob [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2003 1:38 PM > > To: CF-Community > > Subject: Cahtolic's new dictionary... > > > > > > http://365gay.com/NewsContent/040103vaticanDictionary.htm > > > > A new dictionary that the Vatican says should be in all > > Catholic homes > > calls homosexuality a condition "without any social value". > > > > What does the dictionary say about child modlesters? > > The one thing that caught me eye was the quote "it's almost racist"... > It's a pet peeve but the term "racist" is just losing all meaning > lately. > > I am an outspoken gay rights advocate, but I cannot begin to term the > gay community as a "race". ;^) > > Jim Davis > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Your ad could be here.
