I REALLY wanted to like it; I tried to like it... but it just seemed like a bunch of unconnected scenes, horrific editing, and poor plot devices (I think that I'll run away and let Elektra believe I killed her father instead of pointing to the bad guy). I would have liked to see a more mature "Spiderman" as well but that being said it was a much better film. The next film may be (I've heard nothing about it... but I'm pretty sure there will be a next film!). I'd love to see a good film portrayal of "Venom". "Punisher" could be a good movie - but I'm not sure. Personally I've never read any Marvel comics regularly so I'm not sure how deep the character goes. I'd love to see either company leverage their mature characters. DC's Vertigo line is rife with potential. "Hellblazer" would be great - I'd love to see John Constantine in a flick. Tim Hunter was doing the "Harry Potter" thing from way back. "Swamp Thing" has been treated pretty roughly in movies: a flick focusing on his environmental side could be great. Personally I think that the modern "Shade the Changing Man" would make a GREAT flick. It's got it all: madness, trippy 70's visuals, a wise-cracking lesbian - what more do you need? I've always thought that the "Sandman" mythos could be a great subject for a TV-series. Something that would be cancelled after one season of course, but I doubt that a 2-hour movie could really do the topic justice. But "Concrete" comes before all of them. ;^) Jim Davis ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Host with the leader in ColdFusion hosting.
