You can go the easy way, the broken way and the hard way.
The easy way is to buy a router.
The broken way is to set it up with 2 NICs and ICS on Windows 2000.
The hard way is to set it up with 2 NICs and install OpenBSD as the router.

The advantage of the hard way is that it gives you a lot of security, and additional 
capabilities such as the option to rate-limit traffic over certain ports (like P2P) 
and to prioritize traffic over other ports (like mail). You can also quite easily log 
in to your home network from anywhere, and you can even securely tunnel your Windows 
Networking over the internet to your buddy/the office. But it is the hard way :-)
