But if you did that I could use some test credit card numbers that would be declined, but still show as being valid numbers.
You're grasping here. The real way to do it is an open vote. Either you let everybody vote with marginal checking, like e-mail address, or you only let subscribers vote. No offence Mike, but maybe people who are voting just don't like your product as much as they like FuseTalk. Maybe the categories are skewed, and yea that sucks, but still, people are voting, and they are voting for FuseTalk. I'm not saying anything negative about the new Able Commerce package. We used the old version 1 a long time ago, and I got some free beer from you guys when we were in Boston for the first DevCon. I don't place much stock in sys-con to begin with, the magazine is too expensive, where as everybody else gives me their mags for free. I have MSDN and Visual Studio mags, and a few others sitting around here that I am not paying for, all with useful info. CFDJ and the other sys-con stuff costs around 7 an issue, too much for my budget. > -----Original Message----- > From: Mike Randolph [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, May 30, 2003 2:04 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: CFDJ Heaviest Advertiser awards... > > Hello Judith, > > You could also auth the credit card for $99,999 which is above most > peoples > cc limits, and if it was declined by the merchant rather than being a bad > card altogether then the vote is good...but... no fee...If it does go > though, then quickly withdraw the money and move to mexico :) > > Cheers, > Mike Randolph > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
